Void My Warranty

Will Upgrades Void My Warranty?

The Dealer Told Me Aftermarket Upgrades Would Void My Warranty

We hear it all the time during Jeep-build consultations.  Picture this: Clients considering the purchase of a new Jeep come in to Axleboy Off-Road with questions about suspension upgrades, new bumpers, fenders, new tires, etc.  We enjoy taking about Jeep upgrades, local Jeep clubs and trails so a discussion may take anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes.  Somewhere during the conversations we’ll get a comment that goes something along the lines of, “I was talking to the salesman at the dealership and he told me that anything other than MOPAR components would void the warranty on my Jeep.  Is this true?”

True or False?

That is a fantastic and very relevant question!  The answer is a resounding “sort of”.  Perhaps an example is the best way to illustrate this issue.  If you were to purchase a brand new Jeep Wrangler today, with a 5 year warranty that covers the engine, transmission, cooling systems, electronic components, suspension and a bunch of other stuff, and then tomorrow you had Axleboy install a 4-inch Teraflex long-arm lift kit, the suspension portion of your factory warranty would be void.  So, “Yes” there is, in fact, some truth behind that statement.  The greatest deceptions always contain an element of truth.

Be aware that there are some sales people that will claim any aftermarket upgrades completely strip and void the factory warranty.  Most of the sales people in this category are simply repeating what they’ve heard other sales people say or they lack sufficient experience to know better, so they make up whatever sounds most profitable for them.

Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act

The fact is, over 40 years ago, back in 1975, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) passed legislation as part of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act to ensure you have the freedom to choose aftermarket upgrades and parts without having your warranty stripped or terminated.

What does this mean?

Simply put, when you upgrade to aftermarket suspension, the dealership cannot void the warranty on your engine, electronics, cooling system and other covered components.  All of those other systems and components remain covered for the duration of the warranty term.  If a dealership believes upgrading one component caused failure in a different area they may deny a warranty claim, but first they are required to prove correlation between the aftermarket upgrade and the other covered item (ie. Engine, Transmission, Differential, etc.)

It is illegal to deny coverage or void a factory warranty based on the use of aftermarket parts. If a dealer has denied your claim under a new-vehicle warranty and you believe it is in violation of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a complaint can and should be filed online with the Federal Trade Commission.

How to Flat Tow Your Jeep Wrangler

Step By Step Directions For Flat-Towing Your Jeep Wrangler

Getting Set Up to Tow

  1. Insert Jeep key in the ignition switch and
  2. Turn the key to the accessory position.
  3. Depress the brake pedal and hold.
  4. Set the parking brake.
  5. Shift the automatic transmission into Neutral (N), or, if you have a manual transmission, depress the clutch pedal.
  6. Shift the transfer case into Neutral (N).
    1. From the Jeep manual: The transfer case NEUTRAL (N) position disengages  both the front and rear driveshafts from the powertrain and will allow the vehicle to move despite the transmission position. The parking brake should always be applied when the driver is not in the vehicle.
  7. Start the engine and release the parking brake.
  8. Shift the automatic transmission into Drive (D) or, if you have a manual transmission, put it in gear.
  9. Slowly release the brake pedal and confirm that the vehicle does not move.
  10. **IMPORTANT**: Shut the engine off and place the ignition key into the unlocked OFF position. (See note below)
  11. Shift the automatic transmission into Park (P).
  12. Apply the parking brake.
  13. Attach the Jeep to your tow vehicle with a tow bar.
  14. Release the parking brake.

Note: Do not shift the transmission into Park (P) with the transfer case in Neutral (N) and the engine running. Doing this may cause damage to your transmission.

Unhooking Your Jeep After Towing

Once you reach your destination, and want to unhook your Jeep from the tow vehicle, here’s what you should do:

  1. Apply the parking brake.
  2. Disconnect the tow bar.
  3. Release the parking brake.
  4. Shift the automatic transmission into Neutral (N) or, if you have a manual transmission, depress the clutch pedal.
  5. Shift the transfer case lever into your desired position (2H, 4H, or 4L).  Note: Some people report that this is easier to do after starting the engine.
  6. Shift the automatic transmission in to Drive (D), or release the clutch.

Fall Re-Gear Special

Where’s the Power?

Congratulations on upgrading your Wrangler with a lift and bigger tires! Now your Jeep can take you over bigger obstacles to even better destinations, but at what cost?  We’re not referring to dollars and cents.  We’re talking broad spectrum performance and driving power!  If you’re like us, your Jeep is more than just an off-road toy.  It’s also your daily driver, grocery-getter and yes, sometimes even a mall crawler.

Let’s face it, that factory 3.21 or 3.73 differential gear ratio just doesn’t have what it takes to keep your new oversize tires turning at highway speeds without help from the transmission, downshifting and hunting for gears at even the slightest incline.  So what’s the next step?

Here’s the Deal

Hands down, the most effective way to reclaim lost power and keep your Jeep running more efficiently is to upgrade the differential gear ratio to something that will deliver optimal performance (typically 4.56:1, 4.88:1, or 5.13:1, etc).  At Axleboy Off-Road, gears are our specialty, and for Jeeps, a service of this nature would cost roughly $2400.  In celebration of Fall weather, we’re happy to provide the following, limited-time offer:

Fall Axle Re-Ratio Special

That’s right! We’re taking more than $500 off the regular price to get your Jeep back in optimal driving condition with a new ring and pinion, master install kit and associated labor on both axles all for just $1850.  This offer is so good, that it cannot be combined with any other coupons or discounts.  If you’ve got questions, Axleboy has got answers, so give us a call. 636-939-5337.  Offer expires 10/31/18.

Easypay financing available at Axleboy Off-Road

Financing Jeep Upgrades

Get what you want or settle for less?

There’s no denying that Jeep and truck upgrades can be expensive.  At Axleboy Off-Road, we know that every dollar counts and we work hard to minimize non-essential and duplicate labor costs.  One of the most effective ways to lower overall cost is to take care of area-specific repairs and upgrades at the same time (i.e. when regearing the differential, upgrading to selectable lockers at the same time).

We know that sometimes all those awesome things you want to do, just don’t fit into the current budget.  We get it.  In the past, this situation has left a lot of Jeep and truck enthusiasts only partially satisfied, settling for something less  or having to wait another 4-6 weeks before they could move forward with the next round of upgrades, and ultimately paying more than they should have.   Not any more!

easypay finance

Axleboy Off-Road is happy to announce that we have teamed up with easypay finance to offer a variety of financing solutions for folks with good credit, bad credit and even  no credit.  Some of the features you may appreciate include:

ARB Fridge/Freezer

Spend any amount of time wheeling with Scott Carline, owner of Axleboy Off-Road, and you’ll soon discover that, like most other people, this man likes his beverages kept cold.  Most wheeling trips, this is no problem.  There are plenty of gas stations and grocery stores that can keep up with Scott’s demand for ice, but, with plans to take his Jeep out on the Rubicon Trail for a few days, the inability to acquire ice would present a significant problem.

How to Keep it Cold

The dilemma was real, and the way we saw it, there were 3 options:  First, we could try to change Scott’s taste, to be more like Mike, who actually likes his drinks served at room temperature.  That option didn’t seem likely at all.  Our second suggestion was to pack a cooler right before hitting the trail, as usual, and hope that it would last the full three day trip.  Knowing that the cooler’s lid would be opening every 30-45 minutes (you think we’re kidding), there was no way a bag of ice could last throughout the entire trip.  Our third and final option was to look into portable refrigeration.  That’s where the ARB Fridge/Freezer comes into play.

The ARB Fridge Freezer

Scott and his Jeep spend a LOT of time on trails, so it made perfect sense to invest in this heavy duty, portable fridge.  A few of the features that really stood out to us are:

  • Three year warranty.
  • Forward facing thermostat control.
  • Deep storage capacity.
  • Able to operate at extreme angles without affecting operation or reliability.
  • Fully removable lid and basket for easy cleaning.
  • Internal LED cabinet light.
  • Interior drain plug.
  • Integrated battery protection system
  • Offered in a variety of sizes: 37 Qt, 50 Qt, 63 Qt & 80 Qt
  • and more.

The Right Option For You

We know that not everybody is into multi-day off-road trips, and like Mike, no everybody wants their beverages nice and cold.  For those of you that ARE and DO however, the ARB Fridge/Freezer is a pretty nice way to go!  If you’ve got questions about this setup or you want to see how it looks in the back of a Jeep, call or stop by Axleboy.  Our front counter crew is more than glad to get you the information you need, put together a price quote, and let you check out the product for yourself. We’re here for you! 636-939-5337

Falcon Shocks Get Even Better

Have you seen the latest thing to come out of the Falcon Shocks factory? We’re not talking about the Falcon 3.4 series shocks, although we have to admit they are pretty awesome.  Think even better!

Back in 2007, Jeep rocked the way we experience trail life when they introduced the luxuriously comfortable Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.  Almost overnight, the aftermarket world stopped developing new ideas and products to fit the rugged TJ model and began focusing all their efforts on building up a new off-road champion.

Now, after more than a decade of innovation silence, Falcon Shocks is making enormous waves among TJ owners by introducing their latest, and quite possibly best, creation.  Check out the video below as Scott Carline, owner of Axleboy Off-Road, gets a shocking surprise!

Ready to get more performance out of your TJ while you embrace the trail life? Give us a call for pricing on a set of new Falcon Reservoir shocks! 636-939-5337

TeraFlex – Falcon Series Shocks

Teraflex Falcon Series 3.1 Piggyback Shocks

Original Press Date: November 2016

The Falcon Series 3.1 piggyback shock is designed and engineered to deliver race inspired performance and handling while exclusively built to the specific requirements of the Jeep Wrangler. Vehicle stability is the paramount goal with all Falcon shocks. For years shocks have been simply adapted with minimal tuning and not specifically designed for an application. Falcon Shocks changes that mentality.

The Falcon Series 3 Piggyback shocks are corner specific, built from the ground up, and deliver the best damping characteristics possible with fitment and function outlining the highest priorities. A lengthy and painstaking development process has finally delivered these new advancements to a waiting Jeep market.

The front shock features a unique piggyback design with the reservoir positioned horizontally to increase clearance with large tires during articulation and turning. An offset upper stud positions the shock body away from the frame for maximum clearance.

The rear shock positions the body and reservoir at the bottom to eliminate shaft damage from rocks kicked up by the tires. The outboard mounting increases clearance for lifted vehicles with raised track bar brackets. Falcon shocks feature Lucas Oil full synthetic shock oil for superior performance across all temperatures to reduce shock fade. The proprietary synthetic formula also contains special anti-wear and lubricity agents that produce excellent thermal stability.

Employment Opportunities

What to expect at the Mid West Jeep Thing “Intro to Off-Road” Event

Twice a year, Mid West Jeep Thing (MWJT) and Axleboy team up to introduce new Jeep owners to the wonderful world of off-roading.  In our opinion, participating in a course like this is one of the best ways to become familiar with Jeep lifestyle, off-road etiquette and the capabilities of your stock to moderately lifted Jeep Wrangler.

Here’s what you can expect:

Early Morning Trail RunAn Early Morning!

The Intro to Off-Road starts promptly at 9:00 am in Potosi, MO.  Depending on where you live, how long it takes to get going in the morning and how fast you drive, your day may start much earlier than usual.  If you’re coming from the St. Louis area, like we are, it’s safe to plan on about two hours of travel time.  The Axleboy crew typically leaves St. Peters around 6:30 am…but we’re also towing a trailer.

Class-room Type Instruction.

The first part of this course involves an interactive classroom style session where 24MWJT and Axleboy will discuss Tread Lightly guidelines, trail safety and a slew of information about “the modified Jeep.”

Lunch.

Immediately after the classroom portion, we’ll take a 30-45 minute lunch break.  This typically includes a burger, some chips and a soft drink or water.  Chow down and get ready to roll!

intro-to-offroad-31Demonstrations.

Towards the end of lunch, Scott Carline, owner of Axleboy demonstrates how and when to use an ARB tire deflator.  For those who have quick disconnects, Scott will also talk about when to disconnect and show how it is done.

Afternoon Trail Riding.

Organized trail riding is just that…organized.  Typically 3-4 experienced trail guides will be pre-selected to lead a group of 5-10 Jeeps on beginner trails with light to moderate obstacles.  During this time, you can expect to go up and down hills, around trees and over rocks of various sizes.  You may also hear a cacophony of creaks, clunks and other noises that are typical while traversing unpaved paths.

49A Dirty Jeep.

Come rain or shine, this event doesn’t get cancelled.  Come prepared to get dirty.

Photo Opportunities.

Organized Jeeping is slow and steady with plenty of opportunities to get out and take pictures of your Jeep and others going over obstacles.  Bring a camera or use your smart phone and get to know some of the people in your group.  You might be surprised how many awesome people are willing to exchange pictures after the event.

St. Peters, Mo.—Scott Carline, owner of Axleboy Automotive, has been in or around Jeeps for a long time. He began his career working as a Chrysler and Jeep technician but felt the need to take advantage of a business opportunity within the Jeep Community.

“I really started to get into the Jeep Lifestyle after working as a mechanic,” he said. “When other people in that subgroup found out I was a mechanic and word got around, I saw a great opportunity to start my own business.”

In 2004, Carline opened the doors at Axleboy Automotive. “I wanted my shop to be a step above what people were used to receiving when they had work done on their Jeep,” he said.

What began as a small 3,000-square-foot shop has grown to 9,500 square feet. It is equipped with six lifts and an abundance of open floor space.

Jeep owners and dealerships have been relying on Axleboy’s expertise to service their every need, Carline said. “We do a lot of customization jobs. If it was up to us and money was no object, all we would do is build custom Jeeps for clients. We know repair work is necessary also though.”

He also added that as a business it is important to have multiple revenue streams going to stay afloat. The shop also does axle and differential remanufacturing for industrial and light truck applications and sells Jeep accessories. It also performs a small percentage of all makes/all models service and repair.

The shop bounced back from the recent economic downturn, as customers have more disposable income. Low gas prices and credit availability has also helped.

Carline said the shift in the economy and recent Jeep redesigns were bringing in a new clientele than had previously been its core. “Some of my best clients are now doctors, lawyers and bankers, as opposed to the ‘average Joe.’”

Since the economic upturn, Axleboy has also cultivated relationships with dealerships that seek customizations, he said. “Some dealerships just want us to put bigger tires on a stock Jeep so they can put it back on the floor and sell it. Others are more interested in helping people live the Jeep lifestyle. “We will go to the dealership and put together a package custom to the needs of that customer. We sit down with them and really break down what it is that they will need to live the type of Jeep life that they are looking for.”

Carline and his staff are actively involved in several Jeep clubs or communities, including The Midwest Jeep Thing and Jeeping Mid-Rivers. Carline and his full-time marketing director, Mike Carter, take opportunities to set up at their various events throughout the year to showcase products and services. “It is important that I am actively involved in the Jeep community. If a current or potential customer can see my passion first hand and know that it is genuine, it really helps to build relationships which ultimately lead to sales,” Carline said.

He added, “Like most small repair businesses, marketing usually falls on the owner. The problem is, most of us are mechanics by trade and marketing doesn’t come naturally, which leads to a neglect in marketing,” Carline said.

Marketing strategies include increased social media presence, Web design and customer relations, Carter said. “The use of social media in the auto repair industry as a whole has come a long way but there are still shops going about it the wrong way. We stay away from putting generic posts and ads on our sites and focus on interacting with the customer on a more personal level.”

Axleboy is a distributor and installer of TeraFlex aftermarket parts, lift kits and accessories. Recently, the shop has become certified installers of GenRight, which has high-quality suspension and body armor options, Carline said. Other parts and accessories are provided by Keystone Automotive. In addition to lift kit and tires, LED lights are presently popular sales items.

“We get our tires from US Autoforce. They have fast delivery and, in a pickle, they are real close, so we can run up and grab what we need,” he said, adding that the most popular option for Jeep owners right now is the Cooper STT Pro for mud and the Cooper ST Maxx for dual purpose applications.

Carline offered advice for other Jeep and 4×4 shops — take the time to get to know your clients. “Don’t just be their go-to for repairs. Some of the best times I can remember as an owner are the weekends I spent on the trails with my customers living the Jeep life with them.”

ReadyBrake Towing System

Do You Flat-Tow?

Axleboy is glad to announce that they are now authorized dealers of the ReadyBrake system, developed by N.S.A. RV Products Inc. The Ready Brake system offers a safe and reliable means of towing your Jeep, car, truck or other vehicle behind an RV by interlinking the towed vehicle’s brakes to those of the RV.

How does the ReadyBrake work?

“When you apply brakes in your RV the towed vehicle surges forward actually pushing your RV.  ReadyBrake uses this energy to move a lever forward.  A cable is connected to this lever and the other end is clamped to your towed vehicle brake pedal.  When the lever moves forward the brake pedal is pulled down and when you drive the RV forward again it allows the lever to move backward and the brake pedal goes back up releasing the towed vehicle brakes.”

How is ReadyBrake different from other systems?

“ReadyBrake is a mechanical system that does not drain your towed vehicle battery because it needs no power to work.  To connect and disconnect ReadyBrake means to connect or disconnect a cable that drapes over the tow bar, while those electronic brakes have to be placed in front of your driver seat and then have to be adjusted each time and then you have to remove all of this when you are ready to drive.  The biggest difference is the price.  Considering ReadyBrake sells for less than half of what the electronic tow brakes do and it’s more reliable, easier to use and has a lifetime warranty the difference in value is clear to see.”

Axleboy invites you to learn more about the ReadyBrake system by calling 636-939-5337 and talking to a trusted service advisor or visiting the ReadyBrake website , to determine if this is the right solution for your vehicle towing needs.

Axleboy Teams Up With Fox and JKS

Shock 2.0Quality & Performance on Every Terrain

Axleboy is extremely pleased to team up with JKS and Fox, makers of quality, performance suspension solutions for the Jeep and off-road communities.

While at the Louisville, KY: Unlimited Off-Road Expo in early June, Scott Carline, owner of St. Peters based Axleboy piqued the interest of representatives from the Fox and JKS brands.  A lively discussion ensued, business cards were exchanged and within minutes a professional connection had been forged.

In the past, Axleboy has depended on third party distributors to obtain Fox shocks and JKS aftermarket upgrades for their performance conscious customers.  Now, less than one month after having met in person, Axleboy is honored to be a direct dealer of both Fox and JKS performance brands.

Our jaws dropped at the surprise and for a moment there was utter silence.

Having seen firsthand GenRight’s attention to detail and quality performance, of course we gladly accepted.

Can You Install This For Me?

Every so often we’ll have a customer come in with a Jeep full of parts that they just ordered online and ask us how much it will cost to have it all installed.  We are excited that people continue to take an interest in modifying their Jeeps and that our reputation for quality workmanship has spread throughout the Jeep community.  We don’t like to turn away opportunities to work on Jeeps, but in 2015 we adopted a fairly standard industry policy regarding parts installation.

Our installation policy, in its most basic form, is this:

“We do not install customer supplied parts.”

Regardless if you purchased your parts direct from Jeep or through Quadratec, e-bay, Amazon or Craigslist, we simply don’t install customer supplied parts.  For those interested in knowing the “why” behind this policy, we offer a general explanation below.

Installing Customer Supplied Parts is Bad for Business.

We’re not saying that the stuff customers find online is cheap or low quality or that it won’t work.  Plenty of people buy stuff online, install it in their garage and are perfectly happy.  We are happy for these folks and enjoy spending time on the trails with them.

The reasons we don’t install customer supplied parts are both legal and business in nature.  In terms of legality, the state of Missouri holds shops (like Axleboy) responsible for all aspects of a job, including parts and labor, regardless of where the parts originate.  So, even if we, as a shop, were to install a customer’s parts as specified by the manufacturer, if the part itself failed, legally, we would be held liable.  It sounds ridiculous…until it happens.

From the business perspective, Axleboy and other professional shops exist because there is some element of profitability that allows us to purchase specific tools, pay certified technicians and maintain a brick and mortar location. Remove marginal profitability and reputable off-road shops will quickly disappear.  That doesn’t sound like a very good business plan to us.

Our Reputation is Based on Quality. Quality People. Quality Parts. Quality Service.

At Axleboy, we work hard to build and maintain quality working-relationships with several aftermarket manufacturers, so that when parts don’t fit right or packages arrive with damaged or incomplete sets, we can still get the job done right and in a timely manner.  Our sights are focused on total quality and customer satisfaction.  When customers go to online vendors to save a couple bucks, they unknowingly interfere with our ability to guarantee quality.  This is a reputational risk that we are simply unwilling to accept.

We want you to know, that we don’t think anything less of people or Jeepers for purchasing parts online.  Please understand when we politely decline to install them.

New Product From ARB

OME is pleased to release a new range of adjustable control arms with Max C Dual Durometer bushes for the JK Wrangler.

Adjustable control arms are perfect for those Jeep owners who want to customize caster and pinion angles to fine tune ride and handling for both on and off-road applications.  All arms have been shot peened, zinc electroplated and powder coated to prevent corrosion.

Max C Bushes:

MAX-C is a Dual Durometer composite bushing engineered for optimal ride quality and off-road durability in heavy duty applications.

The MAX-C is constructed of multiple urethane compounds and materials to deliver significant dampening and elastic characteristics that enable the joint to perform in a more linear torsional spring rate. The Free Pivot design eliminates pre-mature bushing failures from twisting loads particularly on long travel suspension arms or track bars and is ideal for heavy duty off-road performance. Synthetic Elastomer formulation consistently recovers to co-centric position effectively Self Centring the joint. Reinforcement Tube redistributes load evenly throughout the cushion and prevents contaminants entry into the joint by effectively minimizing gaping of the hole during misalignment configuration.

Careers with Axleboy

You may have heard that Axleboy had a great year in 2015 and that we’re looking to grow in 2016.  The rumors are true!

We are at that point where we “either need to start turning work away or bring more people into the team,” said Scott Carline, owner of Axleboy. “And with Spring and Summer just around the corner, there are no plans to slow down production in the shop.”

With that in mind, Axleboy is looking for fresh talent in the automotive and off-road customization industry.  Anybody can be trained to turn a wrench, but we are extremely selective about who we invite to work on our team.

At Axleboy, quality is more than a goal or an obscure hope for the future. Our team members eat, sleep and breathe quality.  It is at the center of everything that we do and the defining element of who we are.

If you consider yourself a problem solving, quick moving, optimistic and skilled automotive technician…or you know someone who fits that description, we might have your next great opportunity.

Choosing the Perfect Lift

Congratulations! You’ve got a new Jeep and now you’re ready to make it a one-of-a-kind custom ride.  Aftermarket suspension, tires, wheels, bumpers, LED lights and more.  With so many available upgrades and custom accessories, almost anything is possible.

We see hundreds of Jeeps every year, and enjoy guiding people as they take their ride through the transition from stock to stud.  Most folks that we see, buy a new Jeep with the intention of using it as a full-time daily driver and part-time off-road warrior; for camping, hunting, fishing, organized off-roading etc.  Sound familiar?

One of the first modifications on their “to do” list is: Raise the ride.  We think of this as a hinge decision that will effect almost every other major upgrade/modification, including tires size, axle upgrades and more.  One of the most common introductory Jeep lifts installed at Axleboy is the 2.5” Teraflex suspension lift.

Teraflex Lift 2.5in

2.5″ Suspension Lift

The 2.5″ Teraflex Lift is a Good Place to Start

Like we mentioned, the 2.5” Teraflex suspension lift is an introductory lift.  That being said, it offers a modest amount of additional clearance and is capable of tackling many off-road trails without losing the functionality you would expect from a daily driver.  Here are just a few points to consider before deciding on a 2.5″ liftt:

  • It provides enough lift to comfortably fit up to a 35” tire
  • It gives plenty of clearance to tackle most light-medium rated trails
  • Maintains low center of gravity
  • Fewer parts to install help keep costs down
  • Same/one-day installation
  • Excellent ride quality
  • No significant changes to drive line angles
3" Lift with Flex Arms

3″ Lift with Flex Arms

Just A Little Taller With a 3” Lift

Every inch of clearance counts when you are taking the road less traveled…but what about every ½ inch?  Before going for that additional ½ inch of clearance with a 3” lift consider this:

  • Changes in drive line angles may require a new front drive shaft
  • Additional parts involved in the lift amount to higher parts and labor costs
  • Comfortably fits up to a 35” tire
  • Allows for plenty of flex under the wheel well
  • Install may take up to 2 days

Can You Take Me Higher?…Say 4 Inches or More?

4" Long Arm Lift Kit

4″ Long Arm Lift Kit

Do you want to roll with the big dogs and go places that no stock Jeep would ever dream? Going bigger on both lift and tires may be the answer.  With a minimum 4” lift:

  • There is now enough space to fit 37” tires
  • Serious consideration should be given to upgrading both front and rear axles
  • We strongly recommend new front and rear drive shafts
  • Bigger tires will necessitate re-gearing the differential ratios. Proper gearing will give back some of the power that is lost when increasing tire circumference.
  • Significantly more parts (flex arms, brackets, exhaust spacer, etc) increases the overall cost of installation
  • Proper installation may take 3-4 days (actual install time may vary)
  • Be aware that your Jeep will have a higher center of gravity and you may not fit in the parking garage any more
  • Your Jeep will be nearly unstoppable off-road and you’ll be the envy of everyone you work with

We are a fully stocked and qualified Jeep modification shop. In addition to providing access to a huge selection of lift kits, we also do tires, wheels, axles, differentials, bumpers, fenders, recovery gear, LED lights and more.  Be sure to give us a call or stop by the shop before your next mod.
